Foodie In Training (F.I.T.) - Baby Friendly Places to Eat !

Ok So this Page will be soley dedicated restaurants I find to be baby friendly... or not so baby friendly.
I am going to attempt to write about my love for Food and the (mis) Adventures of trying to enjoy a meal with a super wriggley baby who is starting to find his own voice and wants to eat what I eat and still breastfeeds.

Restaurant:
Famoso Neopolitan Pizzaria
11750 Jasper Avenue NW
Edmonton Alberta

We went in for a late lunch with a long time friend (Auntie K).
The downtown location was a bit small and, but I was able to fit his carrier into the booth we were seated in near the front.

We ordered 2 pizzas:

CAPPRICCIOSA
Italian ham, roasted mushrooms, artichoke hearts, kalamata olives, extra virgin olive oil.
$14.5
I love artichoke hearts. It was a thin crust with just enough topping and sauce to make it filling but not so heavy.  I fully enojyed this one.

SMOKED SALMON
Extra virgin olive oil, garlic, oregano, and slivered onion. Baked, topped with smoked Atlantic salmon, capers, housemade dill cream sauce, lemon wedge.
$14.5

OK So this is the photo that they have advertised for it. They "had me" at  smoked salmon - So I had extremely high hopes for this one.  I'm not saying it was bad... but it just tasted like it was missing "something".  It was just a tad dry.We ate a few slices and decided that if it had a thin layer of the dill sauce or even some cream cheese under the salmon it would make it perfect !

For dessert we decided to share the:

DOLCE & BANANA 7
Oven-roasted bananas coated in caramalized brown sugar and crushed pecans finished with caramel sauce and a scoop of vanilla bean gelato.

Good gawd- Look at it. I mean LOOK at it.... really. Cant you just taste the sugar oozing out of the computer screen ?
It was...sweeeeeet. Good size to share - but It could have had another scoop of the vanilla bean gelato on it.

Also had some coffee with dessert -- Well Auntie K had coffee. I had this:

NUTELLA MOCHA 4.75
Now if you know me at all - you'd know that I walk around the house some days with a spoon full of Nutella. This was great. I could've just had this and skipped the Dolce&Banana.
After having both I think I may have got a sugar high.

The service was great, as were the staff. They were extremely friendly, and always offered a smile and didn't bat an eye whenever my 8 month old baby, Noah, was "vocal" about wanting to eat something. Noah took quite a liking to the wait staff. Big smiles all around ! I noticed that they also have a pretty decent kids menu too.  He ate small pieces of our pizza crust, some of his own baby rice crisps and biscuits and topped it all off with some boob juice.

I was told that the downtown location gets pretty busy - so the late lunch ( around 1:30 - 2pm ) was probably the best time for us to go - since it wasnt so crowded.

Total price for everything came up to approx $40. ( We had a $10 gift certificate )
Not a bad price for everything we had. We would come back here. There are so many other choices on the menu I wouldn't mind trying out.
